+1 Terms of Service
Last updated 9 October 2026
These are the rules for using +1. They cover accounts, events, tickets and refunds, what you can post, and what we are and are not responsible for.
The service
+1 (the "app") is run by Lets-hi Inc. ("we", "us"). It lets you create events, invite
friends, chat, and buy or sell tickets to events hosted by other users. By creating an account
or using the app you agree to these terms and to our
privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 where local law requires it) to use +1.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell
us right away if you think someone else is using it.
- Use your real name or a name people know you by. Impersonating someone else is not
allowed.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. See "Ending the agreement" for what
happens to events and tickets.
Events and invitations
- Hosts are responsible for their events: the description, time and place must be accurate,
the event must be legal and safe, and any venue rules or permits are the host's job.
- Hosts can edit an event; if the time or place changes, guests are notified. Hosts can
cancel an event; paid guests are refunded in full (see "Refunds").
- When an event allows it, guests can invite their own friends. Hosts can require approval
of guests. Private events are only visible to invited guests.
- Events found in the "Around you" section come from public sources (such as Meetup) and are
run by their own organisers, not by us or by +1 users. Check the organiser's page before
attending.
- We are not a party to any event. We do not organise, supervise or insure events, and we
are not responsible for what happens at them.
Paid events
- Prices. The host sets a ticket price. On top of it you pay a booking fee that covers
card processing and our platform fee (1% of the ticket price plus Stripe's processing cost).
The total is shown before you pay.
- Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details. By paying
you also agree to Stripe's terms for payers.
- Tickets. Each payment creates one ticket with a unique code. Show the QR code in the
app at the door; the host scans it once. Tickets are personal and cannot be transferred inside
the app.
- Hosts and payouts. Hosts receive the ticket price (not the booking fee). Earnings
become payable 48 hours after the event ends and are transferred to the host's Stripe account
once the host has completed Stripe's identity verification. Until a host is verified, tickets
are capped at €50, events at €1,000 in sales and the host's unpaid balance at €2,000. By
selling tickets you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, and you are responsible
for any taxes on your earnings.
- Chargebacks. If a guest disputes a payment with their bank, the disputed amount is
withheld from the host's earnings until the dispute is resolved.
Refunds
- Host cancels. Every guest is refunded in full, including the booking fee,
automatically.
- Flexible events. If the host chose the flexible policy, you can cancel your ticket
yourself from the event page up to 24 hours before the event starts and get a full refund,
including the booking fee. After that, no refund.
- Strict events. If the host chose the strict policy, tickets are non-refundable
unless the host cancels.
- Refunds go back to the original card and usually show up within 5–10 business days,
depending on your bank.
- If you think something went wrong with a payment, write to
ogallemi@lets-hi.com. We can refund outside these rules when
the event did not take place as described.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post — event descriptions, photos, messages and
reviews. You give us a licence to store, display and share it within the app as needed to run
the service (for example, showing your event to the people you invited, or an event photo to
the guests who were there). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account,
except where it has already been shared with others or we must keep it by law. Only post
content you have the right to share. Do not post photos of people who would not want them
shared.
Rules
Do not use +1 to:
- harass, threaten or deceive anyone, or post hateful, sexual or violent content;
- organise events that are illegal, dangerous, or that discriminate unlawfully;
- sell tickets for events you do not actually run, or inflate prices with hidden costs;
- send spam, scrape the service, or interfere with its security or other people's accounts;
- break any law or anyone else's rights.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report any
person or piece of content from inside the app (the ••• menu or a long press) and block anyone
from Settings → Privacy. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content, cancel events or
suspend accounts that break these rules, and we may report serious matters to the authorities.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using +1 and delete your account at any time. When you delete your
account, events you host that have not happened yet are cancelled and your guests are refunded;
tickets you bought for other people's events are not refunded. We can suspend or close your
account if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service; in the second case we will
give you reasonable notice.
Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running and accurate but we
cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for the
conduct of hosts, guests or external organisers. To the fullest extent the law allows, our
total liability to you for any claim related to the app is limited to the greater of USD 100
or the amount you paid through the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these
terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or
personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing takes away rights you have as a consumer in
your country.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it
takes effect; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the new terms. The date at
the top shows the current version.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the United
States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that consumers keep the protection of
the mandatory laws of the country where they live. Questions about these terms go to
ogallemi@lets-hi.com.
